It started with one truck
and a simple idea.
A great taco should never be out of reach. We took over Cosmic Cantina, a beloved Dallas food trailer, and turned it into something bigger.
That's where The Nourishment Project began.
More than a taco truck.
Every burrito, quesadilla, and agua fresca we sell helps fund free meals for our neighbors facing food insecurity. Each night we serve the public, we set aside food for local shelters.
Behind the scenes, our kitchen prepares hundreds of dedicated free meals every week, delivered straight to the people who need them most.
Come for the tacos. Stay because you're part of feeding Dallas. We're newly incorporated with our 501(c)(3) status pending — every dollar and every plate tracked from day one.
A great taco should never be out of reach
The Nourishment Project starts with a simple belief: good food and real impact don't have to be separate things.
Cosmic Cantina becomes The Nourishment Project
We took over Cosmic Cantina, a beloved Dallas food trailer, and built a mission-driven kitchen around it — free meals delivered to shelters and neighbors every week.
Incorporated
The Nourishment Project is officially incorporated.
501(c)(3) status
Our nonprofit application is filed with the IRS. We're tracking every dollar and every plate from day one, so our numbers are real from the start.
The principles behind every plate.
Radical transparency
Every taco counted. Every dollar tracked. We publish our numbers because trust is earned through proof, not promises.
Dignity at the window
No paperwork. No means-testing. A hot meal is a right, not a reward. Every plate is served with the same care.
Rescue first
Good food shouldn't go to waste when hungry people live a mile away. We built our operation around that simple fact.
Community is the mission
The truck is the vehicle, not the destination. We're building relationships — between neighbors, donors, and the city.
Be part of the story.
Order from the truck, fund a plate, or bring us to your event. Every action moves the number up.
